In 2005 Great Bay Motorcycles was proud to become one of the first Schwinn Motorsports scooter dealers in the US. Over the past three years the Schwinn products have continually been improved and refined, and the 2008 models are the best yet from Schwinn. We all know that Schwinn is a legendary and venerable name in bicycle history. Once Schwinn decided to enter the scooter market you can be sure that they planned to do it in a big way.

We know that Schwinn has quickly become one of the largest scooter suppliers in the US. That means as a customer you can expect the high quality support of a major manufacturer, and that is evident in Schwinn’s two year factory warranty. Schwinn has chosen a dealer network based on established dealers selling high quality name brand powersports products, and we are pleased to be among them.

For 2008 the Schwinn product line has expanded to include powerful 150 c.c. models. In most states these require a motorcycle license and registration, but they offer excellent acceleration and top speeds. Schwinn continues to build high quality 50 c.c. scooters like the Laguna, Newport and Hope models. These scooters do not require a motorcycle operator’s license in most states, including New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts, and Vermont. This means that with your auto drivers license you can legally operate these fun and stylish scooters. They require a lower cost moped registration and generally do not require insurance. These have been extremely popular because of their ease of use and convenience.

Riding a Schwinn scooter is fun, and it is also super economical. The 50 c.c. units are capable of achieving over 100 mpg. Even if you expect to get an average of 80 mpg you can imagine the fuel you will save while having fun. Compare that to any car and you can see how quickly you will save fuel.
